Dr. Edward Barnoski

Board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and the founder of Neuropsychological Associates, LLC.

He provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and consultation for adolescents, adults, and older adults with a wide range of neurological, medical, and cognitive concerns. His work focuses on diagnostic clarification, treatment and academic planning, and practical recommendations that help patients and families better understand cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Education + Background

Dr. Barnoski completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Psychology at SUNY Potsdam. He earned both his Master of Science in Neuropsychology and his Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University. He is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.He previously served as an Assistant Professor at New York University and worked within the Head Trauma Program at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Barnoski has received extensive training in neuropsychological assessment and intervention at several major medical centers, including the Philadelphia Geriatric Center, the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate Hospital, and Hahnemann University Hospital.Dr. Barnoski provides evaluation and consultation for a range of conditions, including ADHD and learning disorders, autism spectrum conditions, concussion and traumatic brain injury, memory and dementia concerns, stroke and neurological illness, and complex cases in which medical, neurological, and psychological factors overlap. His practice emphasizes clear diagnostic understanding and practical recommendations that can be used by patients, families, physicians, schools, and other professionals.In addition to clinical work, Dr. Barnoski has been active in professional leadership and advocacy. He is a member in good standing of the American Psychological Association (Division 40), the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, the New York Neuropsychology Group, and the New York State Association of Neuropsychology. He served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of Neuropsychology for four years and is a past president of the organization. During his tenure, he chaired the Professional Affairs, Workers’ Compensation, and Membership Committees and was involved in advocacy efforts that contributed to insurance and policy improvements affecting neuropsychological services across New York State.Dr. Barnoski has also served on the Board of Directors of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Long Island Chapter, and participated in its Clinical Affairs and Chapter Programs Committees.Through Neuropsychological Associates, LLC, Dr. Barnoski provides thorough, evidence-based evaluations in a professional and collaborative environment. His goal is to translate complex clinical data into clear, practical guidance that helps individuals and families move forward with greater confidence and direction.
